What I'm doing is mostly mixing various types of cameras and projections and trying to pull out the underlying artifacts, pixels, etc that are usually hidden but are really aesthetically pleasing. I have a CCD and a CMOS cam, both of which I can set to go under one megapixel and both of which are pretty poor with light levels. I think its really neat, there's this whole "tron" world of wavelengths and colors (mostly false) just below the surface of every digital photo. A little coaxing in photoshop goes a long way towards surrealism.
